Your role will be varied and will include: reporting directly to the Manager, having a very hands on role and liaising directly with all clients, preparing the full range of bookkeeping services for clients (Preparing accounts to Trial Balance, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, Sales and Purchase Ledger processing, making Payments, Banking etc), preparation of VAT returns, management accounts (if you have experience), reviewing work prepared by other staff members and offering clients advice how to improve their business as well as answering client queries. You will also get the chance to work on other areas of accountancy such as various reports, analysis and business management assignments including recommending new cloud based software to clients. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided where necessary. You will work in a newly created role that will provide you with many exciting growth opportunities in the future. The firm uses modern cloud based software including Xero and Quickbooks Online. The role is mostly office based but may require some travel to clients (all London based).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To be considered for this newly created role (February 2024) you must be a Semi Senior Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper and live within commutable distance to Central London. You must have at least 2 to 3 years general bookkeeping experience (or more) have experience of cloud based software such as Xero. You must currently be working for a good quality UK based accountancy firm with experience of the above duties, particularly bookkeeping and VAT returns, and experience of management accounts would be desirable.
