Job Level: Assistant Manager Senior
Job Ref: BAV3013

Are you a fully ACCA or ACA qualified Accounts Senior / General Practice Senior looking to receive training how to lead and complete audits from planning to completion? Are you looking to upgrade to a very good quality, medium size London based accountancy firm and carry out a varied role consisting of statutory accounts preparation work, tax returns, audit assignments and various advisory based projects?  Are you keen to work in a firm with excellent progression to manager grade on offer? Your role will be split 50% statutory accounts and tax with 50% spent on audit assignments and other ad hoc projects. If you don’t have any audit experience full training and support will be provided. All staff in this firm carry out mixed general practice roles so you will gain exposure to all areas of accountancy. Based in a firm with around 50 staff, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, as well as corporation tax computations and leading audit assignments from planning to completion. You will deal with client queries, technical research, HMRC queries and also be responsible for supervising juniors and reviewing their work. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great progression prospects to manager grade on offer. In this new role, you will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, including groups, from sectors including property, legal, financial services, technology, retail, media and other interesting sectors. The firm would look at a recently qualified ACCA/ ACA, someone exam qualified or someone with some post qualification experience. This firm has had great success with people who have trained outside of London and want to relocate to a London firm for the exposure and opportunities on offer. The firm offers hybrid working, allowing all staff to work 2 days from home a week.

To be considered for this new role you must have at least three years experience, probably in a small or medium size accountancy firm and either be a fully qualified ACA or ACCA (either newly qualified or with a few years post qualification experience) or exam qualified. You must have experience of preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, supervising juniors and ideally managing clients. Audit experience is desirable but not essential and full training will be provided if you wish to gain experience of audit assignments. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including Caseware would be an advantage as is a desire to work in a mixed general practice role. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace. The firm welcomes applications from candidates looking to relocate to London from another UK based practice firm.

This growing medium size accountancy firm has a great reputation for being a friendly and supportive place to work and providing their staff with challenging and varied roles. You will work in a friendly and growing team, and you can expect to work on an interesting array of high profile and growing London based clients as well as international clients. The firm is growing at a rapid rate due to many new business wins from larger accountancy firms. This is a unique opportunity for a small or medium firm ACCA / ACA qualified General Practice Senior or Accounts Senior looking to receive audit training, to join an entrepreneurial and forward thinking practice and play a role of great importance to the continued growth of the firm. It is also a great opportunity to progress to Manager level in a short space of time.
