Finance & Compliance Assistant

Salary: To £30000 + Bonus + Benefits
Job Level: Junior/Trainee

Are you a Finance Assistant, Accounts Clerk or Senior Bookkeeper, looking to work for a local and high profile FCA regulated firm of Commercial Insurance Brokers? Are you looking for a varied and challenging role where you can either consolidate your experience of insurance sector, or if you don’t have sector experience learn about this rewarding industry? Based in a small team, your role will be office based, varied, and be split into account and compliance duties including: daily bank reconciliations, monthly insurer reconciliations, monthly management accounts, credit control, VAT returns and rental income reconciliations for some properties the business owns. Compliance duties will include ensuring full FCA compliance, preparing FCA submissions and ensuring regular reviews of all policies and procedures within the business. You will also need to provide regular reconciliations and accounting entries of client money. .

To be considered for this new role (January 2022) you must have at least 5 years of general accountancy experience, ideally you will have experience of the insurance sector although the firm is happy to look at candidates with experience of other sectors as well as candidates from practice looking to move into industry. You must be able to work to tight deadlines, be pro-active, be a team player and be commercial with strong communication skills and an eye for detail. You must also have strong software skills including Excel. It is likely you will be studying for an accountancy qualification such as the AAT or ACCA. .

This newly created role will provide you with a varied and challenging position, working in an interesting sector in a small / medium sized yet well established business which has a great reputation in its sector and works with many very high profile clients. The business is in an easily accessible location by either car or train. Overall this is a great new position for an experienced Finance Assistant / Accounts Clerk / Experienced Bookkeeper to work locally in Isleworth in a high profile Commercial Insurance Broker business with great future promotion and prospects on offer. .
