Are you an experienced Sole Charge Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper, looking to work part time (2 or 3 days a week) in a high profile Bookkeeping position in a well established hotel business based near Heathrow airport? Are you looking for a role where you can utilise your Xero software skills? Reporting to the external accountants, your responsibilities will include: being in charge of all the bookkeeping (including bank payments, bank reconciliations, journal entries, posting invoices, sales ledger, purchase ledger, petty cash etc), the preparation of Vat returns, credit control, basic payroll and other ad hoc duties. This role is a sole charge position so you must be able to hit the ground running and be willing to work in a varied and hands-on capacity.

To be considered for this new role (November 2023) you must be an experienced Sole Charge Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper who has worked in industry with experience of the above duties, particularly bookkeeping and Vat returns. You must have experience of using Xero, live within commuting distance of Heathrow Airport and must be looking to work in a part time role, 2 or 3 days a week. You must be able to work to tight deadlines and be able to hit the ground running in a sometimes demanding and time pressured environment. Experience working in a small / medium hotel business would be an advantage but not essential.

This growing hotel business will offer you an exciting and varied position in which you will play a major part in the continued success and growth of the business. You will work in a new “in house” Bookkeeping position, which was previously carried out by the external accountants but is now being brought “in house”. You will be able to work in a varied and interesting position and be able to utilise your bookkeeping, VAT and payroll experience in a growing small / medium size hotel business.
