Are you an experienced Sole Charge Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper, looking to work part time (around 10 hours a week or up to 2 days a week) in a high profile Bookkeeping position being employed by a firm of Chartered Accountants to provide the Bookkeeping duties for a high profile client in the Hotel industry? Are you looking for a role where you can work flexible hours, as well as work from home half the time you work? Are you looking to utilise your Xero software skills? Reporting to an experienced Partner, your responsibilities will include: being in charge of all the bookkeeping for the client (including bank payments, bank reconciliations, journal entries, posting invoices, sales ledger, purchase ledger, petty cash etc), the preparation of Vat returns, credit control, basic payroll and other ad hoc duties.  It is likely to also include the preparation of monthly management accounts for the business. This role is a sole charge position so you must be able to hit the ground running and be willing to work in a varied and hands-on capacity. The role will be based at the firm of Accountants office which is based in a City location in Zone 1 Central London.

To be considered for this newly created role (March 2024) you must be an experienced Sole Charge Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeper who has worked in industry or practice with experience of the above duties, particularly bookkeeping, the preparation of Vat returns and ideally management accounts and payroll. You must have experience of using Xero and must be looking to work in a part time role, around 10 hours a week / 2 days a week. You must be happy to come to the office in Central London once a week but you can work from home the other day you work. You must be able to work to tight deadlines and be able to hit the ground running in a sometimes demanding and time pressured environment. Experience working in a small / medium hotel business would be an advantage but not essential.

This new position will offer you an exciting and varied role in which you will play a major part in the continued success and growth of the business. You will work in a newly created Bookkeeping position, and the firm are willing to be flexible on the exact days and hours worked. You will be able to work in a varied and interesting position and be able to utilise your bookkeeping, VAT and ideally management accounts experience in a growing small / medium size hotel business. Overall this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sole Charge Bookkeeper or Senior Bookkeeping with strong Xero experience to join a profitable and rapidly growing business and act in a high profile and important part time position with flexible working on offer.
